Photo Id is required for a lot of things these days and it seems there are very many positive aspects to this phenomenon. Firstly, it means that people`s identity cannot be stolen if a photograph is included in their ID as it is very difficult for people to imitate each other. Secondly, it means that people can be checked up on easily and if they are trying to masquerade as somebody else, they can be easily found out. However there are some negative aspects to
Photo Id as well. Many people complain that it is a loss if civil liberty and that nobody is free to come and go as they choose anymore. Instead, everybody is catalogues and logged like an object or an animal. People also complain that the government are holding too much information on them and that it is like living in the age of big brother. However, I believe that it is a good thing. Anything that can cut down crime and help people to feel safer in their environment can only be a positive step forward as far as I am concerned.
